WebbWhimbrel is a common breeding brid in the Faroes with 2,000 pairs. 350 whimbrels have been ringed in the Faroes. 92% of these were ringed as chicks. There are eight recoveries, two of them from abroad. All recoveries in the Faroes are from June-August. The two foreign recoveries are presumably from spring and autumn migration, respectively.
