You can not reasonably compare a $400 bass to a $1500 bass. The Brice is a decent playable bass, but it's not a Warwick. My own little pet peeve are the reviews on Harmony Central.

Kurt at Rondo has a pretty good rep around here, and sells them for $289, but I got it in the TB classifieds for $150, so it's hard to go wrong. I was very surprised with its tone, playability and construction. Pretty dang good for a cheap bass.
